INPORTANT INFORMATION
Terms of Service
All customers will need to sign our terms & conditions when booking.
1.3 Every package includes a Discovery Call (or, for The Reset, an in-home consultation), the organising session(s) themselves, a storage brief and sourcing service, and a follow-up care guide. The Overhaul, The Reset, and Home Moves also include a six-to-eight-week check-in call.
1.4 We reserve the right to update package pricing and inclusions from time to time. The price and inclusions confirmed in your written booking confirmation will apply to your booking, regardless of any later changes to our published prices.
2. Discovery Calls & Booking
2.1 All packages (other than the Online Consultation) begin with a free, no-obligation Discovery Call to discuss your home, priorities, and how we'll work together.
2.2 A booking is only confirmed once we have (a) agreed the scope of work and dates with you, and (b) received your deposit as set out in clause 3.
2.3 It is your responsibility to ensure the information you give us at the Discovery Call (property access, scope, any known hazards, household members present) is accurate, so we can plan your session(s) appropriately.
3. Payment & Deposits
3.1 A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your session date(s), except for the Online Consultation, which is paid in full in advance.
3.2 For multi-day packages, the remaining balance is split evenly across sessions and charged at the end of each session, together with any additional costs incurred (see clause 4).
3.3 For single-session packages (The Edit, The Focus), the remaining balance and any additional costs are due at the end of the session.
3.4 Payment can be made via payment link, card, or cash on the day of the session. Any outstanding balance must be paid within 24 hours of the relevant session. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices at 8% above the Bank of England base rate under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, where applicable.
3.5 Deposits are non-refundable except where we cancel your booking (clause 5.4) or as set out in our Satisfaction Guarantee (clause 7).
4. Additional Costs
4.1 Overtime: if a session runs beyond its allocated time at your request, this is charged at £45 per hour (or part hour), agreed with you before the extra time is worked where possible.
4.2 Storage solutions: storage products and solutions are not included in the package price. These are itemised and charged at cost price on your final invoice, payable on completion. We will always confirm storage choices with you before purchasing.
4.3 Parking: any parking fees incurred at your property during sessions will be added to your final invoice.
5. Rescheduling & Cancellation
This clause applies where you wish to keep your package but need to move or skip an individual session. If you wish to end your package entirely after your first session, see clause 7 (Satisfaction Guarantee) instead — no cancellation fee applies in that case.
5.1 More than 3 days' notice: You may cancel or reschedule a session free of charge. Rescheduled sessions must be moved to a new date within your package's booking window.
5.2 3 days' notice or less: A fee of £100 per affected session is payable, whether you reschedule or cancel that session. This reflects the fact that your organiser's time has been reserved exclusively for you and cannot typically be reallocated at short notice.
5.3 Booking windows: Multi-day packages must be completed within their stated window from the date of booking (The Refresh: 3 months; The Overhaul: 4 months; The Reset: 6 months). Sessions not used within this window may be forfeited, unless otherwise agreed with us in writing.
5.4 By us: If we need to cancel or reschedule a session (e.g. illness, emergency), we will give you as much notice as possible and offer the next available date at no additional charge. If we are unable to reschedule to a mutually convenient date, any sums paid for that session will be refunded.
5.5 Maintenance subscriptions: Monthly Maintain and Seasonal Refresh plans can be cancelled at any time with 30 days' written notice. Individual sessions within a subscription are subject to the notice periods in clauses 5.1–5.2 above.
6. Access to Your Property
6.1 You must provide safe, reasonable access to your property, and to the areas of your home being organised, for the full duration of each booked session.
6.2 If we are unable to gain access at the agreed time through no fault of ours, and are unable to begin work within 30 minutes of the scheduled start time, the session may be treated as a short-notice cancellation under clause 5.2 and charged accordingly.
6.3 Where you will not be present for all or part of a session, please confirm in advance how we will access the property and any instructions for pets, alarms, or specific areas that are off-limits.
7. Satisfaction Guarantee
7.1 On all multi-session packages, if after your first session you feel our service isn't right for you, we will refund the remaining, unused sessions in full — no questions asked, and no cancellation fee under clause 5 applies. This is separate from, and takes priority over, the cancellation terms in clause 5: it ends the remainder of your package rather than rescheduling within it. This does not apply to the session(s) already delivered, or to storage costs, parking, or other additional costs already incurred.
7.2 To claim under this guarantee, please notify us in writing within 7 days of your first session.
8. Client Responsibilities & Decision-Making
8.1 You remain the owner and decision-maker for all items in your home throughout the process. Our organisers will guide, recommend, and support decluttering decisions, but the final decision to keep, donate, sell, recycle, or dispose of any item rests with you.
8.2 Please tell us in advance about any items of significant financial, legal, or sentimental value, fragile items, hazardous materials, firearms, or items requiring special handling, so we can take appropriate care or advise you to remove them from the working area before the session.
8.3 We are happy to remove items for donation, recycling, or disposal where these fit within our vehicle. We do not remove hazardous waste (including but not limited to chemicals, paint, gas canisters, sharps, or medication) or large/bulky items requiring separate collection — you will need to arrange disposal of these yourself, and we're happy to advise on local options. Where you ask us to remove items on your behalf, you confirm that you are the rightful owner of those items (or have authority to dispose of them) and release us from liability for their disposal once removed at your instruction.
8.4 We ask that any pets are safely contained or supervised during sessions, and that we're made aware of any household members (including children or vulnerable adults) who may be present, so we can work safely and appropriately around them.
9. Liability & Insurance
9.1 We carry professional organising insurance with Westminster Insurance, covering public liability arising from our services.
9.2 We take reasonable care when handling your belongings. However, except in the case of our negligence, we are not liable for pre-existing damage, wear and tear, or the condition of items disclosed (or that should reasonably have been disclosed) as fragile, damaged, or of high value before the session began.
9.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
9.4 Subject to clause 9.3, our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with a booking, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, is limited to the total fees paid by you for that booking.
9.5 We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of income or enjoyment of your property, arising from our services.
10. Photography & Marketing
10.1 We may take before-and-after photographs of the spaces we organise for our own records and quality purposes.
10.2 We will only use identifiable photographs of your home in marketing materials, on our website, or on social media with your separate, explicit consent, which we will ask for after your session. You are free to decline, or to withdraw consent at any time.
11. Data Protection
11.1 We process personal data you provide (including contact details, property details, and any information shared during your Discovery Call) in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and in line with our Privacy Policy, available on our website.
11.2 We will not share your personal data with third parties except where necessary to deliver your service (e.g. storage suppliers) or where required by law.
12. Subcontractors & Team
12.1 Sessions are led by Jodie Donald. For larger projects requiring additional hands, we may bring in other trained organisers to work alongside Jodie under The Organised. Where a session involves an organiser other than Jodie, we will let you know in advance, and all organisers working with us are bound by the same confidentiality and care standards set out in these Terms.
13. Referral Scheme
13.1 If you refer a friend, family member, or colleague who books a paid service with us, you will each receive £50 credit towards a future booking, applied at the time of your next booking.
13.2 There is no limit to the number of referrals you can make. Credits have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and do not expire.
14. Gift Vouchers
14.1 Gift vouchers are available from £95 and can be redeemed against any service, with no expiry date.
14.2 Vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Lost or stolen vouchers cannot be reissued unless proof of purchase is provided.
15. Complaints
15.1 We want you to be delighted with our service. If anything falls short, please contact us at hello@theorganised.co.uk within 14 days of your session so we can put things right.
15.2 We will acknowledge complaints within 2 business days and aim to resolve them within 14 days.
16. General
16.1 Force majeure: We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
16.2 Entire agreement: These Terms, together with your booking confirmation, form the entire agreement between us and supersede any prior discussions.
16.3 Changes to these Terms: We may update these Terms from time to time; the version in force at the time of your booking will apply to that booking.
16.4 Severability: If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remainder will continue in full effect.
16.5 Governing law: These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
